Cancer Screening

DR. SANDRA MAGER PROVIDES CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING

Cervical Cancer Screening

The suggested requirements for cervical cancer screening has recently changed. It is now recommended that healthy women between the ages of 21-19 get a PAP test and HPV test every three years. Women between the ages of 30 – 65 should get a PAP test and HPV test every five years.

These guidelines are only recommended for women who have had healthy PAP tests in the past. If you have had an abnormal PAP test, it is recommended that you are tested more frequently.

If you are currently a patient of Dr. Mager’s, they will recommend a specific course of action based on your personal history.

It is still recommended that you have an exam and well-woman check up every year however.
