Hormone Therapy

FIND OUT HOW HORMONE THERAPY CAN ALLEVIATE SYMPTOMS OF MENOPAUSE

What is Hormone Therapy?

Hormone therapy can help relieve the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. Hormone therapy usually consists of delivery of estrogen and progestin or just estrogen in the form or a pill, patch or gel. Dr. Mager at Women’s Health Center will determine the best course of action based on your individual symptoms and lifestyle.

Estrogen therapy (with or without progestin) has been shown to be the best treatment for the relief of hot flashes and night sweats. Estrogen therapy can also protect against the bone loss that occurs in early menopause and helps prevent hip and spine fractures. Combined estrogen and progestin therapy may reduce the risk of colon cancer. Call Women’s Health Center today to make an appointment with Dr. Mager and find out how hormone replacement therapy can help you.
